WHY IT IS IMPORTANT: Embracing Do-It-Yourself (DIY) allows you to save on services you can simply do yourself. Let’s be clear that what is a DIY project for one person, may not, in fact, be a DIY project for another person with similar circumstances. Doing it yourself affords you an opportunity to utilize your own time and ability to complete something for yourself or a loved one. You’d be surprised how many things you currently pay for that you could save hundreds or more if you did it yourself. KEY POINT(S): Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects save you money, but HIRE A PRO for BIG PROJECTS! MY EXPERIENCE: Once, I opted to switch out a toilet or two and replace some light switches with motion sensors. I have never been so proud of an unknown ability to be handy. I saved about $200+ for someone to come in and change a toilet. As for the light switches, I would have probably paid about $50 per switch and I completed those in about 2 hours (it took some W-O-R-K and a lot of YouTube) for the biggest reward… EVERYTHING WORKS! Every time I walk into rooms and the light auto-switches on, I say to myself, “Yep, I did that!” You can too! QUESTIONS FOR YOU: Are you a Do-It-Yourselfer? What’s a DIY project you are most proud of? What hinders you from doing it yourself? NEXT STEPS:
